Edmonton
The moment I stepped on Alberta ground wasn't that exciting. Hee.. Coz I am being trasnport from a rather more modernized city to the 6th largest city in Canada.

Alberta is a rich province as it does not impose any provincial tax (PST). Why? Because it is rich with natural resources like oil and gas. That's why! Tsk tsk, I have paid PST in both Ontario and Quebec. Tsk tsk, should have bought stuffs here in Alberta. Haha… too bad ;p

Edmonton is the so called capital in Alberta but Calgary is bigger than it. I heard that Edmonton is the only city which emphasis on both languages: English & Chinese, even in their education system. They also have French Immersion program. If yaoyao were to stay on, he might get sent for French immersion program. Ha

And It's all about shopping for me esp on the last few days. We went the so-called common for branded stuffs. I've got a good deal from Tommy Hilfiger. Ha. Checking out stuffs in the superstores are nice also. I like to visit supermarket when I visit a country. Kekeke… the ribs, chicken and beef are cheaper there. And those dairy products. I had lots berry variants there. Kekeke… cherry is so sweet :) Heard BC (British Columbia, another province) produces sweeter cherries than US. Ha. AAA Alberta beef is nice too ;p

Jasper National Park

263km from Edmonton. First we visit Maligne Canyon, the Maligne Lake is also a prominent must-visit attraction. Ha. Nice to have eaten the home cooked beehoon near the Canyon. Oya, notice the mountain actually resembles the side view of a human face?

Athabasca Falls. Lots visitors there. Actually I found it so-so only. Not a big fall though. Ha.

Columbia Icefield trip is another unique experience. Basically it requires a big-wheel bus, operated by Brewster, to take us to the Glacier.

The Glacier we visited is called Athabasca Icefield. Both Kys are so excited, we put our hands into the icy cold glacier and we drank it. Ha. The Glacier has been retreated in recent years, maybe it is due to Global Warming uh.

Anyway, I still prefer Fox Glacier in NZ. I get to Hike and lie down on the glacier. Ha. Nah, be contented k!

Along the drive, we saw Elk. It is one kind of Caribou, its common name is called Mule Deer. Most cars stopped to take their pictures. Hee… just 10m away from our car ;p If you still cant imagine how it looks like, errr.. Something like Santa's reindeer.

Lots Golden ground squirrel and we saw white Horn sheep!

Finally, I was allowed to drive to Sylvan Lake. Hee.. Cool sia. Gigantic mountain on your left and beautiful Abraham Lake on my right. I prefer this kind of scenery, as compared to both sides are mountains, loaded with pine trees. Keke.. Awesome sia.

Sylvan Lake
It appears to me more like a sea! What a huge lake! Ha. We are privileged to have visit Allen and Kathy's wooden cabin by the lake. Cool sia. Basically it was built 8 years ago and guess what, only Pentecostal Church members are allowed to own the property around the vicinity. Ha. Both Al and Kathy like to host people. Kathy is the secretary of the National Palliative Care Board of Canada, don't play play. Ha. She dictates the way the system works!

This cabin can actually host around 20 people. Hee… the attic has 3 double beds and the basements has few single beds. Keke...

Nice and sunny day. We had a 30 min boat ride with Al as the captain. He was so kind that he gave me the permission to steer the boat! Kekeke… even niece and nephew get to be drive the boat! The boat actually costs around 25K.

As it's the annual Bentley Rodeo Festival, we visited this little town in the late morning. Ha. Guess what, one chicken wing cost 39cents and beer at CAD3 only. Cheap. You can have it in the Saloon. Dun get me wrong, Saloon is not the place where you find barbers but a hang out place for Cow-boys to have drinks. No kids allowed.
There's a vintage car show. Eh, lots old antique car like Ford, Pontiac are being showcase. Most are a lot more older than I am. Ha. Farmer market showcase some of the harvest of the residents. The mini doughnuts are super nice, so soft. Yumz. Saskatoon is new to me, member of the berry family.

It's my first ever time to watch a Rodeo show.

What is Rodeo? Basically it's a cowboy show. Hehe… they dressed like a cowboy and do what cowboy does! Most guys come with cowboy hat. Al was all set to dress like that too. Ha. Interesting items like tie-down roping, team roping, bull riding (the mad bull ll try to make you fall from its back!), wild bull milking ( a bunch of cowmen trying to catch the bull and squeeze milks from them), children riding etc. 3 hours long. Too long but good experience. Al participated in the Wild bull Milking last year. He said he's gonna to try again in 2010.

We had Grilled Salmon for Dinner, or rather supper! They dun call it dinner but supper. Hee.. Culture difference.

Sunday morning is a time whereby we worship our God at Sunnyside Tabernacle church. The topic was on 'Pursuit'. It reminds me to know Jesus more and to make Jesus known to others! One of the song was quite meaningful. It says: The more you seek Him, the more you find Him; The more you find Him, the more you love him!

"When the sun is good, you need to go!" That's what Al said. He is so excited about the sea sports we're gonna to have on a Sunday afternoon!

It's out of my expectations to have tried sea sports when I am on vacation. Ha. I had wakeboarding and tubing. Steph was my another kaki, she is still a college student, having summer holiday job in Edmonton. She frequent Al's place to enjoy the sea (or rather lake) activities.

Al was very patient. He guided me on how to stand up. Argh, I am just too lousy. Haa… the last time I wakeboard was like 9 years ago. I really cannot make it la. After a few more attempts, I have decided to throw in the towel. Somehow I struggle to stand and I simply couldn't tilt my board le and let the water go under! Ha. Al was a bit disappointed though but I am too embarrassed to make another 4 people to watch me falling into the water again and again. Nice try!

I like tubing. Steph and I were the sacrifices. Basically we each sat on a tube, hold on to the handle. Then Al will drive the boat in whichever speed he likes! Ha. Steph warned Al not to be mean but I think in order to let me have more fun, he was actually a bit crazy. He drove rounds, turn here turn there. The waves he created was so bumpy and guess what, my neck almost broke. And the interesting thing is you just feel like shitting or farting. Whatever you called it.

In short, it was soooo FUN! And the water is not salty at all coz it's Sylvan lake, not sea. Ha. I always try to avoid SUN but this FUN hour actually landed me under the big hot sun for 4 hours. Ha.

Drumheller
'We are looking for a dinosaur, something you never ever see before" - Michael Mitchell


You can see Dinosaur statues in this Dinosaur town. It is called Canada Badlands. Basically the landscape is a bit different from Rockies and others as it was a habitat for Dinosaurs million years ago. Kekeke.. Looking at the land, yes, you're unable to grow any plants. That's why it is called Badlands. Ha.

Royal Tyrell Museum is a must visit place. I usually do not have very good feel about Museum but this museum is very well established. The word 'Royal' was given by Queen Elizabeth. Ha. The showcase of the Dinosaur fossils was great! Very organized.

We joined the guided tour "seven wonders of the badland". Basically the guide showed us the specialty about the land like… why are there different layers of soil (white - due to sand soil, brown - due to mud soil, black - coal soil from vegetation), hoodoo, stump etc :)

I used to doubt about the existence of Dinosaurs. But now I am truly convinced that indeed there were Dinosaurs million years ago! Kekeke…

Banff National Park
It's another 3.5 hrs drive from Drumheller to Banff via Calgary, another prominent city in Alberta. The traffic is heavier. Ha. Had nice bison burger with yam stick. Eh, wild smell in the bison meat and it's harder than normal beef. Ha. As it's kinda late after the dinner, we just took a stroll at Banff downtown. As compared to Jasper downtown, you get to see more shops and ya, a lot of tourists from all over the place. They are here just becoz of the Banff scenic Lake Louise and wild life. The grizzling bears, caribou, coyote and squirrel. ;)

We stayed just beside the Bow River. Hee… it was a nice walk. Saw cheery wildflowers everywhere, the fall is somewhat awesome and at the end of the trek, there's rafting for hire which takes you to Bow Valley! Cool ;)

It was raining all night long till the next day. That was the time you wish grandpa SUN is there for you. I guess most tourists would be super duper disappointed with the cloudy and drizzling day. We did not travel far, just got onto the car and took the recommended scenic drive. A bird eye view from the Mount Quay. Keke… Lake Minnewanka was quiet as hardly see any tourist taking the cruise. Dropped by Johnson Lake and two-jack to see look. Here is a photo with my little princess in her nice raincoat! We joined a guided tour at Cave & Basin. Basically there were 3 railway workers who discovered Banff National Park. And most importantly it's the hot Spring! Altogether there're 9 hot Spring in Banff!

Lake Louise

We thank God for the nice sunny morning so we have decided to go to Lake Louise! Hurry! Indeed, it is a beautiful place. The Fairmont hotel faces the mountain, you'll see snow on the mountain and peaceful lake is just in front of you! Some are kayaking while some trek.

Lake Louise Gondola enables us to have a panorama view of Banff landscape. You see ten peaks, lake Louise, Mt Sulphur etc. Hee… the interpretation centre wasn't that great though.

We took the cascade chair up the hill and I was so scared that nephew will fall off from it. Ha. So in the end he took the normal gondola while niece and I continue to enjoy the open air ride!

I spent 1.5hrs walking in and out of the shop to hunt for nice and representable postcards. They fail me la. All the same. Ha. In the end I just took a few which I think it has better showcase Banff. Keke… ambassador of Canada, slowly becoming uncle Bill!

It has been a long vacation. longer than i thought and I got exposed to quite a fair bit of stuffs. Thanks God for His providence and grace!

Ontario is the first province which I visited.

Toronto
Nice meet up with Wongs and it's always nice to have met your lovely sis and her hubby in the northern part of the globe! They are the first I met in this strange land! they have been a great host!! =) generous and extremely thoughtful. one commonality is.. we are carnivores, meat lover. Kekekek

Markham is the place whereby we hang most. Relatively new developed area. A bit of rural feel :) Went to a few plaza where you find lots of Asians esp hongKee. ;p

Toronto is the largest city in Canada. Yup, the downtown is full of skyscraper and branded shops. CN tower is just like any other city tower ;p We visited St Laurent Market and drive thru the city. Unique structure for Royal Ontario Museum, quite eye-catching! One more thing. The street like Yong street is actually quite long.. >20km. Faint.

Niagara

Raymond was nice, he drove us to Niagara Fall. Yup, it was astounding!!! hehe.. so excited to get near to the horseshoe fall on maid of the midst. The experience is real good! I saw lots rainbow.


Short drive to Niagara on the lake also quite cool. nice houses and awesome view. hehe... and then we went for Ice wine tasting at both Inniskillin and Peller. Tasted Riesling, Cabernet Franc and Oak Aged. I prefer Oak Aged from Peller while Riesling from inniskillin. kekeke… smells good too!

The steak dinner at KEG was also great!! Yumz. Good ambience too since you're able to see niagara fall from up there. And there was fireworks! Ah well, firework din really excite me that much.

Kingston
Kingston is a place where there are lots of jailbirds. hehe.. in the meantime, there's a university there too. ha. weird. It is near to US. Due to the geographical closeness to US, Queen Victoria feels that it was unsafe to be the capital..

There was Farmers market during our visit. So we've got ourselves some pastries!

there you go... Ottawa was the choice!

Ottawa

Parliament hill. a picture says a thousand words! I love the architecture esp the library! Hehe…

It's such a pity that we din have lots time touring around Ottawa. this is a picture from Québec and Ontario border, taken from Quebec civilization museum. hehe..

The next two attractions located at Quebec province. The whole Quebec province uses French as the primary language, that's make it more cultured uh! duh! hehe... but i like the francais feel ;p signboards are in French. Lalal.. French culture!

Montreal
I always wanted to visit this city. heard there's table top dancing!! Not only woman but man!!! it was the French music festival when we arrived. We managed to take a stroll in the city since the hotel is located in the city center. As we listened to the concert, mum said she was giddy... ok, let's walk back. hmm i shall go again.

The next day, we visited St Paul church up on the Mont royal. bro André was the person behind it. it was aid that many miracles were performed there and those sticks were the evidence! Hehe.




And Olympic Tower. You know, it was only till last year that the state government finished paying the loan for that construction 30 years ago. Not so wise planning. Heard Montreal Olympic is the only Olympic which suffer that much of loss :x

Are you able to see the resemblance of any animals from this construction? ;p

Guess what! it rains when we reached old Québec city!!! chill. nice European feel city... romantic is the world.

last note, the trip was with TAIPAN and the tour guide cmi la... her English is simply..duh. haha.. so mean!!

You can always feel good about what you do, and proud of how great your accomplishment is. No doubt! But when it comes to the 'work showcase' time, everyone is equally confident with their deliverables. So how? does your colleagues jverdict dictate your success or failure? is there a direct link to your year end bonus/ranking/increment in time to come? Maybe not.

The vital key stakeholder is your boss! As he/she is the one who aligned your work goal and advancement plan with you. Since we are unique individuals, obviously the goal would be different. what is there to compare? ha. at the end of the day, you own your own career!

mrLoud made a remark which struck me. It's true that "You do not need to know everything that others know since our roles are different. flip side thing -> because he/she may not or need not know what you know. What's more important is you know what you should know and that's yours! "

LIFE
Imagine someone, aged around 60 y/o, with some illness, not a stranger but a remote kin, committed suicide! How sad! How come you go around to get kind monetary support. where's ur kids?!! argh... bringing up the son whom may not be your own is heart-aching, i guess. It's a pain to see him growing up and yet he is not yours. argh... the wife is really!! sigh...
I wonder, how 悲哀! sigh...

I am thankful for God's timely arrangement that he grants me wisdom in embracing all these! God loves us so much that we also gotta forgive the wrongdoings others has done unto us. He is God! His grace is overflowing. I like how Rev Chen describe us.

We are like those kids, having eaten the choclate secretly. As mum popped us a question: "did you eat choclate?". We sheepishly said "I didn't!". Haa.. not knowing that we forgot to wipe our mouths after "偷吃-ing". how amusing

Je ne sais quoi

This is my 2nd time joining HeritageFest event. First was 'Fun on Foot' with uni peeps and now it's "Expedition H" with fun kakis. Phew, luckily i went. Thought it was super enriching and nice.

I went without having any expectation except the fact that i thought I would be under the sun for the whole afternoon! The actual fact is not! muahahah...

First stop is Asia Civilization Musuem. Prior of admitting the place, we sat just beside the river to hear the stories on Ho Chi Minh and Jose xxx. Couldn't remember the name. ha. shame on me. Tsk tsk.

So HCM is the first president who has been 'badly' influenced by Lenin and communism. Ha. After 30 years on the run, he finally went back to the motherland to fight for a change! phew. Kekeke.. he died on 2 Sept 1969. Ha. I still rem the details! Good job, Pauline!! She was our tourguide from Journey pte. Ha.

So the whole thing gets a it touristy. We really being treated like tourist. Ha. Duh!!

Then we headed to ACM. Glad to saw Steve McCurry's works here. Oya, there's an exhibition of his photography works, now being showed case in ACM. nice and meaningful picture being taken. You know who he is?? He is a photographer with National Geography. Rem that Aghanistan girl with the 'fear' look? That's his artwork.

We were asked to observe the Buddha statue/figure by different culture. It was said that the one from Burmese or Thai looked more Asian, as compared to Indian. We cant really tell the difference. Ha.

Vietnamese food sampling was next. Carrot cake, mango salad and spring roll plus jasmine tea. Ha. It was a surprise!!!

The next stop is kinda interesting. We went to Kali-Majapahit Martial Arts school. You know, the origin is from Phillipines. This french guy has the passion for MA and ya, he is the owner of that school.

Sarung fighting! How would you interpret this? Some said it means the guys fight in Sarung while malingsu and me thought the guys actually use sarung as a weapon/tool. The answer is we are right! muahahah...

amazing ah. the demo. kekeke... nice exposure. We never know such things exist other than the famous chinese MA. kekeke.. okok, maybe i 孤陋寡闻！哈！

Then we passed by the colorful bridge @ Robertson Quay. Pauline told us the stories behind it. Ya, nippon was the sponsor, so does STB. Haha...

We came to Fort canning to see this Asean Sculpture Garden. You know of such place? then there is this capsicum-like sculpture. haha.. sorry, it's the little chilly. haha... just right in front of National Musuem of Singapore

Last stop is Burmese temple at balestier. We found out that the Burmese monks normally has 2 meals a day, and only juice after mid-noon. They are not vegetarian!

So it was a rather educational tour!! ;p

After the tiring tour, we head for Peranakan and Udder ice-cream. *YUMZ*

I like rum and raisin flavour!!!


Sunday it was a busy one. I thought it would be a super exhausting one but it went well. Had a enjoying P&W in CG17. Happy to be with those kids again!! and working with the younger daoshis. Long time din have a chance to sing soooo many songs in a row. hee... and the intercession time was great! Nice sharing from WellWell and valVal :)

It followed by a 'supposed to be heavy' pre-BS. Thank God that ms GraceEn willing to coordinate. Phew, i can go in peace uh. hehe... Certain things are being ironed out. Good. hope all goes well when it kicks start on 2 Aug. Then I will be in Montreal uh ;p

Girls talk also enjoyable!!


Finally the next evening is the star gazing nite! I saw Moses!!! kekek... purposely be there with queen to have a glance at him! et others. hahah... tall, with some build. Hehe.. but i dun like his top, like a bit 'gay-ish' plus the earring!! arghhh...

this time round is considered better, as compared to last time while gazing Quan Xiang Yu. haha

I think i am a bit tired today. How time flies. Last Friday i was lunchign at Tiong Bahru and it's Friday again and we went RedHill :)

Coffee overdose. Hmm i need to control abit.

Finally kick off some TENH and Moire work. Feel good. Trying to delegate but at the same time i need to oevrsee the progress and chap one leg in. Dilemma sia.

Exhausted but happy.

"Up Sea" ppl is giving us some headache. Ha. San Diego is fuming sia. Kekek.. hope they dont screw up our good working relationship. Yawn. need to scope up our work again!

Visited few eating places incl palace, pauliner, grandcopthrone, japPlace@UE sqr. Can you imagine how big my stomach is!! kekeke... i am eating too much rubbish!!!

Swamped by ministry challenges too. God, please grant me wisdom to brace it.

Ok, endure and the day will come soon.

Got parcel from NZ. Sweet and nice to share Chien's joy. How cool it is and How great our God is!!! Amamzing sia. So sometimes age is really not an issue.

Happy for Haipoh also. So i shd be meeting her next week uh.

So many stuffs, my brain is so tiny. o...

Unbelievable encounter

I am supposed to blog about this but I total forgot about it. hehe.. shall make up for that!

It is truly amazing on how God works in our midst!

First, I got the sms about going for the gathering. & I told you my decision
Then I wasn't sure about the exact location but I was reluctant to ask to meet up first.
Then I saw you at the berth. What a coincedence!
We went together.

It wasn't that awkward actually. How time flies and how it has made us grow from then till now. Some unspoken hurdles are overcome and I truly thank God for that.

I was so amused by the short time we spent together. I have never thought it will ever happen. haha...

不能说的秘密

近来觉得有点懒，懒得写布落格。哈。

人与人之间就真的有那么多不能说的秘密吗？有时碍于时辰不当，有时则对象不恰当，更有些时候我们觉得“无语”是最好的表达方式，似乎都以为听者一定明白自己的难处和挑战，又也许我们以为偶尔的联系能一直让彼此的关系处在同一个水平。好天真的想法，哈！关系，太微秒了，真的不解！


有时讨厌自己的愧疚心，就明明因为他人没有比我先感到不安，导致我觉得每回我都得要做一些“damage control” 以让自己觉得好过些。唉，难道是圣灵的垂逼吗？还是我过于敏感。XB说的对，发简讯吧，不管你有没有错，只要你有平安。哈。果然，昨日的门徒课能在上帝的保守下顺利进行。始终，我不觉得我错，只是语气稍微不太友善而已。哈。藉口。

南大聚会。我一直在想，要不要买些东西啊？毕竟老南大的校友一定会准备。后来，我带了个蛋糕。我承认我自己不是一个非常阔气的人，有时的确要强迫自己对他人好些，因为我常受之于人，我常把一切的事情当成是理所当然。这是一种学习吧！=）看到老南大的榜样，我希望不止我自己，其他的新南大校友也能效法他们的无私和愿意与我们亲近，病了还不错过团契聚会。求上帝保守他们！

I facilitate the session. It was good. Thank you Lord. Though I have watched that DVD for many times and still, unable to comphrehend; I thank God for the great partner I have. He is knowledgeable. Hehe... Phew.

How come we were able to keep it below 2.5hrs? Amazing! I already tried my best to drag and get everyone to speak up liao ler. Anyway, I hope we all can get to know one another better throughout the journey. Well well, one of the achievement is we all get to memorise Psalm 100!! Cool ya!

Since L1, I was still a bit uncomfy with the new class and styles. But I know God will iron all these out. It is just a matter of time!

It is nice to see how God brought them together. Sweet gown! Must have spent alot on that. OK.

I saw Sze Guan!! It has been like arnd 6 years since I last saw him. I only find him familiar but I couldn't recall who he is until the recept time. Ha.

He is still as cool as before. Tanned and looked serious. Hehe... And I still he is still as devoted as before. Anyway, glad to see him!!! Maybe I will get to see him sometime end of the month. I think.

Though we only worked on Braveheart before and we did have some not so pleasant experiences. Ha. By God's grace, we become friends. Hehe...

Though I was quite bored even with the live band singing out there on the stage, the personal touch which the couple esp uncleQuah rendered was heart warming. He went around the table to thank everybody one by one, by name. you know, his funky look and hilarious actions, made us laugh out loud. Ha.

He is quite funny, present me as 'princess' to others. I think those EE are stunned. Ha. Well, the empress is still YH. I am just a tiny princess. Haha...

Beyond Tiny Red Dot
Actually i was a bit clueless on what to dicuss for Sunday DG. Thank God, His mercies is always overflowing ya.

I enjoyed taking the group on those topics. Though I thought those topics are trivial but hor, it really serves a good reminder to all that we should always be thankful for who and where we are, love others & self. What is more important is we gotta challenge our brains more by thinking deeper and more critical. kekeke...

Thanks to JiaFa for his encouragement. hehe... But he said, the irony is an foreigner actually can dicuss about the tiny red dot but not a local. ha. It doesn't matter la, God gives wisdom to all!

while browsing thru newspaper, taking a break, StrategistSH talked to me. I am surprised that he is willing to share his son's conditions with me. I see the sorrow thru his eyes and ya, he said he pitied his wife.

Hmm actually neither he or his wife is responsible for that. I just pray that they are able to find school for the son soon so that he can progress further.
I finally blurted it out: How about going church? Phew, it took courage to say that.
Well, he din seem he wants to explore that option but i pray that one day he and his family can come before God and let God heal them in His ways.

Talking about last Friday outing. Food was yummy at rsycc. nice ambience and with good company. Lots aeroplane and queen can still try to guess whethere it's a BIG or SMALL bird by listening to the engine sound. Ha.

Then the trip to T3 also fun. Hee..

XH is nice to chaffeur us back. Get to talk a bit during the car rides. hoho.. good fellowship.

This week on anchor alignment. Considered a bit chim to me but good to have involved in setup meeting like DOE portion. UncleJA is truly experinced and smart. Only he is brave enuff to push Ming2 to work till 2.30pm since she came in late i.e. 1030am. *clap clap* but schedule is a bit tight for ming2 since she has exam in the coming weeks. but hor... no excuse since it's part of her job.

Had first 1:1 with UncleLeung. Hoho, 1.25hrs. can you imagine? Thankful for that as fnally get to align on the expectations and moving forward, knowing what to look out for in the program. It was a good start.

ICC Profile is hot in town. Something familiar yet a bit far. I must have thrown everything back to Dr Zhang. hehe...

Thank You God for the 1:1 setup. It went well :) I wasn't as nervous as I thought.


MMM - 3
Cheryl is wise. She definitely has what it takes to coach me. Some learnings:
- Do not be cynical, words & tone be always seasoned with salt and wisdom from God.
- Dare to ask, be humble
- How Director thinks: Always forward looking, no point dwelling on the decision made and how was it made, how to priortize limited budget, skillset development

Mel always said i am priviledge to have Cheryl as my mentor. Oh.. she is going to cycle along Danube river soon. i start to miss eastern europe le. ;p

A day after MMM, i had skip level with shuaigeTP & another few chaps. Hee... He is nice. OK, i think i've somehow gotten his attn by asking questions. But hor I accidently blurted out a non-sensible word "bad-mouth manager" though it meant to be a joke!

Ah well, it's over.

I managed to skip PTM. kekek.. bad me but the sad lunch hr meeting really ruin my Tues. This week is occupied wid MFG alignments. Interesting emails flying around and I really have little idea of the various mfg tests.

Gotta wait for dadajie to do most alignments, I have less background info so I am a bit 泄气。

Thank God I know more abt Mfg & WS concerns. It is not just production. there's more than that!


CATS
To be honest, I attended the musical without knowing what the storyline is! hehe... there were not-so-nice review so i was like: it's OK, i still want to watch!!! What's more the tic was bought months ago.

I like Tug Rum Tigger & Mr Mistoffelees. the Jellica song also nice. Hee... Memory is of course the hit song for the play. hehe...

What I like about CATS is the personal touch and their dancings!

I think they are a bunch of good dancers cum pro presenters :) And they are in tight-fitting meow costumes! I like the styled meow hair!

Mr Mistoffelees did many turns/spins which wow many! kekek... Tum Rug Tigger is so hiao, he really carried himself quite well. So ah gua!

Then the cats are all around the theatre during the overture and 5 min before Act II starts. They treat all audiences equally. Ha. *Thumbs up!*

Thank God for the ability to appreciate and enjoy!

Most had a fun time during captain-ball @# Labrador. Waa, some guys really quite rough ler. Haha... But who cares uh. As long as all have fun. Indeed we are! The Red-black game turned us off.

Actually the game is OK, just that the explaination under the hot sun really drive all the passion away. We were busily wiping off the horrid non-stopping sweat and drowning selves with canned drinks. Who will listen? ;p



Though the '2 truth 1 lie' game is simple, everyone get to speak. That's good.

The lunch at SmoochiesBar is not as fantastic. Maybe they are just not that good in handling big crowd like us. Ha. Birdnest gave them the stern face, requesting for service charge n gst waiver. You can see the eating place supervisor, keeping his eyes on the chefs throughout our 2.5hrs stay! *Sweat*

Good Friday Gathering
Mel & Ada are bold to have us in their place again. God takes charges always. He gave courage to Mel as he shared the love gifts with others. Sicky& wife& baby :), VV, HondaJess, and suckyPillow. Ha. It takes tremendous boldness at the risk of losing friendship. I am glad that they asked questions, there were exchange of views. That's good.

The chit chat after that was enjoyable too. Now we know the different sides of Bendemeerean lives. Kekeke... Six sisters, mickey mouse, retribution etc. ha.
The sashimi, chabu chabu, sakae sushi are so yummy! A big thank you for the Lows :)

Thank God for the seeds sowed. Thank God for Lows.

Decide to blog first before we go off for Teambuilding again. This time round it would be a BIG team, 27 of us :)

Again much whoohaa happenned over this thing. Well, I always look forward to a TB but I think I am not the super enthu one. If hv then gd, dun hv also OK. Wont die. Haha.

Since I am not the organiser, I shd not have comment much. Ha. But hor muscleOng's reaction really made me re-look him. Ha. To a certain extent I resonate with his view and the whole thing really went out of proportion. A low cost meal is always affordable and it always happen within WS, so we do not need an official TB. What's more this "20buck sponsorship" has imposed some unnecessary pressure on birdnest.

Oh, msCai said "Well done" when I told her I Attitude to muscleong when he asked me question. Ha.

Thank God still, I have .5day time off.

Wake
I learn a new word. WREATH. Based on SOBC, every employee will get it when the loved ones passed on. Interestingly we boldly decided that we wanna attend the wake. Maybe we think we are close to Mel. To my surprise we actually stayed for 2.5hrs. Cheong commented that: "wow, you all so close to your colleague. That's good."

More about the wake. It was a Buddhist one. They chant for 2 hrs. I truly salute their perseverance and long-winded. Hehe.. Never take a break sia. There are around twenty of them. Wowow!!! Actually apart of the 'noise', the ceremony is quite simple.

When I observed those aunties and uncles chanting with eyes closed, I wonder do they know what they chant or it is always like a song, playing in their mind and their mouth will act on the signal being decoded from the brain. Hehe..

Thank God that he grants us wisdom and insight because when we pray, we know what are we saying except for those in tongue la, they may or may not know.

So this week busily gather the allocation number, and work with PCs. One discovery. There are actually some hidden sparks btw the Pcs who handle Tainpan products. So I better be prudent in words ok!

Uncle Leung finally addded me in the distribution list. Yesterday PrettyTracy also alert me that he is not easy to work with. Urgh...

Thank God as I get to talk to YUPIQ ppl and first time ever work with PCs. Hehe.. The work is tedious but it has its values ah.

Confronted birdnest with a smile during 1-to-1 session. Thank God for the calmness and ya, those listening ears, else I think I will explode last Friday.

It was not bitterness as I reliase what agitates me most is not bcoz of the tripper but the 'inform' process. It bypass me again and it keeps me out of the loop.
Anyway I am cool about it.

Thank God for the keeping me calm and cool about the decision.

oya, i spend whole saturday working on the combined session slides. It was fun, i hope! kekek...

Attended second PTM alone at my cube. Super bored and it's sad to see everyone else leave for lunch and i am stucked in my cube telecon-ing. This is the price to pay.

Just had a meeting with SQ. Wow, get to talk so much, so many stuffs to thrash out. O... but i enjoy it. this is the high-level alignment work uh ;)

I got very nervous before the meeting coz scared of being questioned. Updated schedule in a hush hush way, thinking that uncle Leung may ask. In the end he din. ha. Anyway, i got my schedule updated. Good.

Start to feel the heat already. from schedule, logistics, test requirements ffrom various stakeholders, issues and more meetings!

First MM PTM went OK. MuscleOng kas kindly went with me. Phew. He is always very nice to have gone thru the PLC and team structure with me. At least he tries to help me, not just by mouth but actions also.

Yean, Be steady!


M - Church
Got a bit disheartned for the recent combined event preparation. I know I am I am the i/c but it does not mean that every time i gotta be the one. Ah well, need to delegate more and give others more lead time.

Hope the coming event would be a pleasant and light hearted one. When can I get out of this commitment? i dunno ler. I dun perceive myself as the only person who fits the job, so i am willing to let others try. but where are the OTHERS?

It was again an enriching session with CM. Like Mel said, i am blessed to have her being my mentor. Ha, i think so too.

She coach me on how to better work with counter parts and peers. I took her advice, emailed uncle leung. it turns out to be Uncle Leung want to have bi-weekly update. hehe..

Stress but i guess it was a good strategy. This can save me from being embarassed and questioned in front of the PTM members. haha.. at least i can have a preview of what is going to be asked. good good. hope it will be a good one.

She mentioned sth: many lateral moves before moving up. This is what she tried before. Also, try to observe what i enjoy most and dislike most during this moulding period, after that i will know which path should i pursue. Technical or Mgmt. hoho... at least 1.5 yrs ler.

Uncle WiseCHU said it means my job is secured and he thought i am the high flier. Actually NO. I am just treating this as a OPPORTUNITY, at least i dont just sit and wait.

CM said she noticed that BPD is grooming me by appointing me with all these roles, it seems that potentially they want to put me in mgmt role in future? Hmm I still can't convince self yet. Ha. Yeh yeh, I am selected to have a skip level tea break with uncle Charisma. He is our lab director. haha... will update more.

婚礼

那天，参加SM与JJ的婚礼。奇怪的是，竟然没有很多的感动和惊喜。话说回来，谢谢上帝一路来的看顾，毕竟那一刻的决定绝对不是草率的。祝愿他们能白头到老，愿他们的婚姻成为他人的祝福。

恰巧我坐的位子能清楚看到张太太的侧面。JJ他妈，打扮得蛮高贵大方，绝对有太太的韵味。哈。当JJ他爸把她交给SM时，她爸嘱咐SM好好照顾JJ，我确实被感动了，JJ她妈也黯然落泪。每每勉励的姐妹说道夫妻日后如何在上帝的恩待下生活，JJ她妈又一直的在点头。当SM向JJ爸妈道谢时，他俩又站起来鞠躬，呵呵，不愧有中华人民共和国的代表的风范。

妈妈，总是舍不得出嫁的女儿。YF说她妈在她婚礼上都没笑太多。天下的妈妈都是一样的。

意外的是，为了这一次的婚礼，距离拉近了。原来，靠着上帝的恩典和时间的流逝，再加上彼此努力向前行，我们能够一起聊天说是非。

不是我们做了什么，而是上帝奇妙的作为！阿门！

I must admit that the Discipleship trainee course @ ACS Barker was a nice break for me. At least I can run away from PA work for awhile. It is always the case that everyone is rather cold towards one another for the first time they met. Ice just melts as the time flies and in fact, I am kinda miss the interaction. I get to know more about my church uncles and aunties. Apparently I am the youngest amongst all. Ha.

Thanks to mr Loud, I wonder how he knew i applied for PTP jpb. Oh man, obviously only 3 people knew I applied for the job. Why would mr Birdnest and mr loud knew abt it? Hoho... The answer 呼之欲出

i made a wrong guess. Mr birdnest did not deprive me from interview, the truth is i don't fit in the role which they are looking for. This is what Mel said. Nothing wrong with my expertise. recently he offered me another one but i rejected already.

Coming back to Mr Birdnest. how come he tell mr loud on such a confidential move? Best. What is better is mr loud asked me in front of all colleagues. And He claimed that I now know what is my weight in mr birdnest's eye. Speechless

Angry, upset
Why is Mr sick always so secretive. I should have gotten used of it uh? Isn't he always like that? Oh well, I am glad that he moves on with a better prospects but he need not to be so discrete and mum about his next move. Disappointed. Imagine we share lots insider news? I do appreciate this neighbour though now he is a shuttle away. Haha...

Surprise
When he first told me he is available I was like? Please, you are married. *slap slap* Then today over communicator you told me that you have separated from wife. Oops, so it's real. How fragile human relationship can be uh. Imagine their lavish wedding 1.5 yrs ago and now... Each has their own path to take.

Quite sad. Ok, since I can't tell colleague, let me share it here. Hehe... Dun worry, Mr MuscleOng. You have good body and approachable character, I am sure nice lady will come by again but make sure you don't anyhow flirt!! Hehe.. And we said we shall go social gathering together. Haha... SOBC!!

Now I am made SCF asset lead. Isn't that always what I want? Human are like that. When it is your 囊中物, you don't feel for it. Sigh... Power comes with responsibilities, so now I gotta use my brain more uh, like what Mr birdnest said

Fear & Resistance
I always see how amazing this MS One note can be but somehow I don't dare to say goodbye to my MS Office appl. Dajies are using that and it has nice interface, clear layout. Why not? I should try some time soon.

Yesterday we had a choir/song practise for SM & JJ wedding. I kinda of resist learning new song, feel a bit dumb, slow and lack of confidence. Hoho. Maybe it is the sign of aging and the fear of unable to cope? We are anxious that we might not be able to master new things and continue to stay within our comfort zone, thus the delay of venturing out? Hoho...

I must say those around you are important. It is an important factor of either MAKE or BREAK. Haha...

Single hood
Aunt Ren Xin said 'Being Single is not a defect'. Oh, that was a interesting remark! Subconsciously we always think that life is incomplete when you're alone and not married. The harsh fact is even if you're married, you can be quite lonely too and your life may not be complete too!

Another note was quite reasonable. Why we always say we need a better half? Must the other half be better? Can't he/she be worse off? It is just a myth. In summary, always strive to be someone who is God fearing and Christlike. If you're still alone when you age gracefully, at least you wont create social issues. Likewise if you meet someone who is equally good or better, that's great! As the union of two great persons will definitely benefit others incl themselves! How nice!!

We are all bounded by God's everlasting and 长阔高深的爱。Regardless of what stage we are in now, we should just live our lives as we are called to be a contributor instead of a society junk!

On the lonely part, everyone still need a 'alone' space for you to shun from the crowd, meditate and be still before the Lord.

Recently I found out that BE STILL does not really mean PRAY but JUST BE QUIET before God. In His miraculously way you're able to hear Him and feel His presence. Ok, we shall try.

Friendship
It really takes effort to maintain a friendship. Do you think so? Is the meet up frequency and frequent view exchange important? You think that matter a lot? I would think so. Although nowadays it's just a message away from your friends and loved ones, sometimes we just think that "well, it's alright to procrastinate and we always have telepathy. We know what's going with each other lives. Thus, whenever we get to 'connect', I will understand what you mean".

Does it really work that way? I dunno. Sometimes it falls back to a choice, on whether you want to invest time and effort to it. Recently I read this "He is just not that into you' book, you actually have a list of number in your contact/hp, so if that person is important to you, you won't say you are just too busy to have time for that particular person or even call him/her up! Hoho.. Sounds quite true uh. That is not excuse.

This rule does not only apply to your opposite sex friends but also your same gender kakis. Maybe it's time to resume those activities namely hang out, to movie, to exercise, to go tea-break, online chat etc. with such a bad economic downturn, perhaps we have to do it in a slightly lower cost structure but can be done! Ha...

Recently there's announcement saying that we may have pay cut. Hmm perhaps we gotta be thankful as we still have a job! His grace is never ending ;)

More cost cutting measurements are coming... hoho... no more HP shares for me.. haha... less luxury biz trips for me... hoho...

昨天，回到教会时，很亲切。

感谢神让我有机会在DG做分享教导的工作，昨天我们谈了祭祖这个问题。这挑起了我对儒家思想的好奇心，想进一步了解这对老李影响极深的学问，希望我能不要太懒惰，好好用心学。哈哈。虽然备课的确耗了不少时间和精力，但我挺享受的，觉得要与他们分享所知所学，心里特别兴奋。

我得到了一个很莫名其妙的评语。也许因为我对课题懂得不是很深入，所以才能在大家面前大胆的乱掰，扯来扯去，说得头头是道；换成是那些神学生，就不能乱来。哈。其实，我也有做功课，不是空谈而已，在教会里哪里可以瞎扯，不能误人子弟。哈。只是可能我讲的太自信，接得太顺，听者照单全收，我可无法控制阿。求神怜悯 :)

祭祖的出发点其实很简单，为了尽孝道，合理的很！只不过延续生孝的途径错了，对象也太抽象了，更何况它严重违反圣经的教导即祭拜偶像，把人神化了。

圣经教导我们要孝敬父母，要尊敬他们的权柄，而且那奖赏就是我们得以长寿。呵。这可是第一条带有应许的诫命哦！

看见3个可爱的阿兵头，蛮开心的！听说他们上周在教会拼命的问LY在哪，可惜我人在老家；可是当我知道他们还会记得我，有点感动， 简直没有白疼他们！

我搞什么啊，千万别误会，我不是对小弟们着迷，只是真的把他们当成是小弟般看待，想疼惜关顾他们。愿他们在未来的日子里继续茁壮成长！

Stay Rooted

近来裁员风势大得很，到处是灰尘，大家都小心翼翼，心中的顾虑不说还好，说了还真泄气。巧得很，几个星期以来小岛国常刮风，走着走着，还真受不了地板太脏，逼不得已要拿起扫帚清理和拖拖地，尽一下屋主的职责。哈。

听说VC从原本的1300人要裁至650人，好恐怖啊！还有，他们要把那1.3英亩的地皮（公司所在的地方）出售，真不可思议！去年的现在我还兴致勃勃地到那儿去参观，赞叹他们的办公室环境有多悠闲多写意，邻近的越南牛肉汤馆子更是大伙儿常关顾的地方，如今剩下的就只有惠普职员们的埋怨声和屈手可指的小猫，生意还能做么？

报章刊登全球在大年初一时干掉了５１万人，这意味着５１万人要开始在家拍苍蝇。哇！接下来噩耗应该会越来越多。哎，超乎我们所能掌控和想象。

说真的，这风席卷ＨＰ各ｓｉｔｅ，管理层为了减少开支，想巧妙间增加盈利，让我们不仅开始担忧何时Ｈｕｒｄ大哥会向ＢＰＤ开刀。对小女子而言，ＶＣ暗藏了很多武林高手，是公司多年来的投资；在这Ｒ＆Ｄ即时报酬效应不会马上见到的当儿，就绝情地要ｃｕｔ－ｃｈａ，未免太残忍，无限可恶了吧！

ＩＰＧ的未来走势似乎不是太明朗，ＢＰＤ呢，只要ＥＤＢ停止发钱，大半的工作应该会向东方流去；且慢，应该不太可能。你知道吗？一个ＨＰ的工作能开启另外６－７个的工作，总的来说，我们的确有存在的价值，不然ＧＤＰ会掉，失业率会上升。哈哈，我们的贡献也不小！

暂时想通，就继续待在这儿吧！

也许因为没有太多的选择，也。。。 也许因为我选择相信上帝永远都会为我预备最好的道路。阿们。

我发现，上帝一直透过身边的人向我说话，他让我经历的事物和接触的人，也让我逐渐认清我需要什么样的人相伴。安全感、责任感、成熟度、绅士风度、语言和信仰是其中重要的考量因素。坦白说，我对认识自己这方面又晋升一及。哈。

领头羊

很奇怪，我不知道为何我会舍不得那些这个月要效劳于SAF的小弟们。

突然间有点心疼他们。过去的礼拜天不见他们的踪影，有点不习惯。好笑的是，我竟然因为Paul没有在而我们得拍DG的全体照而气愤。受不了我自己！

希望学谦、献恩、Bryan、Clifton能早日习惯兵营里的生活，也不忘继续与上帝一起向前迈进！感恩的是，他们都考得十分优越的成绩，太可怕了！哈！

2008的完结 * 2009的开始

SupreME 超人
感谢上帝让我有机会参与这次的营会。反思一定会有， 得着也不少。蛮享受与antibodies小组在一块儿的时光。我想，我是豁出去了。哈！

他们是一群充满活力，很癫狂的少男少女。就是喜欢和他们在一组，学了一些新的短语如L2，US，TYO， OTW。猜得到吗？Bryan 和 XiaoHui 很尽责，为抵抗菌预备了很多玩意儿，我们的cheer也蛮好笑的。呵呵。 我们有护士帽，急救袋，针，药丸子，真亏他们想得出。感谢上帝，这组走的是‘大家乐’路线，只要大家ENJOY，不必为分数和名次太操心，好好享受，开心就好。组员有Clifton, Jialin, Victor, ChangHui, Xiyuan, Lena 和liYing。

起初还觉得压力蛮大，因为我的小组还挺红毛派，心里战兢的很。神的供应永远超出想象，缺乏的他必补足。因着圣灵的带领，一切OK! 恩典咧！

喜欢一起参与夜间游戏, buzzing的时间也很容易过，‘跑吧，超人’的出游很累人，但是处处见惊喜， 喜欢也好，埋怨也罢，我们竟然还能做老三。真不可思议。搞笑的是，我们每人脸上贴着胶布，穿戴超人T恤，身上背着红十字袋，路人还以为我们真的脸上挂彩，甚至有人还想我们求救呢。有趣hor

游戏的构想让我再次领悟到，尽管我们能很有智慧的规划路程，完成任务，以为一切都在我掌控之内，其实不然。我无法预知巴士到站的时间和班次，虽然辛辛苦苦背完快餐电影的价目表，当station master一发问难题，我们就慌了，把刚才所紧记的价格给混淆了。哈哈，我们啊！匆匆忙忙地赶到kg Glam，听见要等另外一组到来才能继续前进，心都冷了。怨声四起，算了吧，我们去吃murtabak,喝喝水，休息一下；bye bye 啦， 冠军大哥！

惭愧得很，我们吃喝太久，还得劳烦BB等我们，抱歉抱歉。既然大势已去，我们秉着一颗敷衍的心境，拖着累了大半天的双脚，向fort canning 慢慢前进，完成任务后，索性不按理出牌的照相，好不快乐！哈！

回程还挺远的，我们真的累了！

Sometimes things are just beyond your control in our lives. We can plan for many things, and everything looked rosy. As we venture on the journey, we relase there are many other deciding factors which we can't control at all. It is indeed OUT OF CONTROL.Fret not, God always offer a DETOUR card for you to decide. Am I Superman or God is the one who supersede all others in this world. You have the choice.

这回的prayer walk较light些，让人有些许的空间去思考个人生活的‘丑态’，简直是原形毕露！就在此谈谈其中三个小站吧。

1.照照镜子涂圈圈
你瞧，哪里不满意，就把它圈起来。原本白净的镜子慢慢的被圈圈给占据了。其实，你眼中只看到那外在的丑陋吗？我惊觉整面镜子被画满了，因为我内心有很多污秽，见不得光的东西。霎那间，觉得自己很可怕。上帝承诺他愿意除去我们一切的可怕罪，只要我们愿意让我为我们抹去一切不义。

2.涂涂画画说感受
用笔画一画, 你可以选择用词句或图画，描绘其一：上帝的同在 或 上帝的缺席
有人画大自然，有人画教会，甚至还有人画他在妈妈离世前那七天，如何感受上帝的应许和供应. 若你选择
‘上帝的同在’:记得，当忧伤痛悔时，别忘记那情景。以马内利，上帝与我们同在
‘上帝的缺席’:切记，祈求上帝让你能感受到他的心跳。他是无所不在，只是我们心里有时没有他

3.小小的力量 伟大的神迹
每人根据一张灰色的图案，用铅笔来shade。起初，真摸不清脑袋，这到底是什么东东！好吧，shade好了，用木架子架在线上，过去另一边候命。哇，太神奇了！出现在眼帘的，竟然是一幅贫困小男生和小女生的画像，不知哪个家伙把眼睛涂得真么有神，棒！这告诉我们，不要以为微薄的力量不能为社会带来什么果效和贡献，他的张力可不是你我可以想象的啊！

小结，这次的祷告之旅综合了卫理宗的理念，即
追求个人圣洁 回馈社会大众 走出框框迈向世界

2008年 有些许的突破
买房子, 当翻译, 转会, 单独旅游 等。 应该还有其他的，哈，上帝知道 ;)

回家的几天很享受，比我想象的好，虽然很悠闲，一点都不闷。刚吃完早餐，就得要为午餐、晚餐操心。呵，家人都快受不了！与Mr Seow 和Poh Thai 聊天，很享受，很欣慰。毕竟自己离开高中和初中的日子已有十载，老师还记得我，要嘛我是那些捣蛋虫，不然就应该就是优异生？哈哈，我不是顶尖的学生，但我想，我应该曾经讨了老师很多欢心的人！哈哈。。。

父母盼我们回家也多时，见到外婆，她老了很多很多，比我两个月前看见时更加瘦削体弱了，我有点害怕，尤其是31日当晚深夜电话响时，心想最好不是舅舅打来。还好，不是。我多心了！两个小表妹也挺有趣的，暑假时我家就是他们的避暑山庄，怎么催他们回家都不愿；还好有他们给爸妈作伴。

开年，我干了件大事-去拔智慧齿！你知道费用多少么？别从椅子上掉下来喔，一共2零吉！我愣住了，洗牙无需排期，拔牙无需预订，很惊讶吧；加上收费如此便宜，到哪儿找？！普通私人的诊所所收费用也不少，但又有多少人对国家的医药水平有信心呢？大伙儿都会觉得便宜没好货，真的吗？尽管随着年龄的增长，对祖国的印象也逐渐模糊和生疏，我不禁再次为着马国愿意承担庞大的医药和教育费而感恩。话虽如此，国库始终会不胜负荷，被掏空的一天，国民应该更努力自力更生，向寄生虫制度说不，这样的大幅度津贴的日子也许不久。

我带着略肿得牙龈，结束了两星期的假期。难得08年没在年尾出国，上帝给我意外的惊喜，享受平凡的喜乐和安逸。虽然被逼放假，我也挺开心的。谢谢上帝！

09年一月4日，回到BPMC，见到熟悉的面孔和亲切的问候，很贴心。这一年的节目还没搞定，有点忧心，唉，上帝会帮我摆平的，不过我的作好本份是也！

昨天，新老板出炉了，是我们力挺的TCL。为他高兴，也为自己有机会经历三轮的面谈而感恩，毕竟这过程中的领悟和学习不是用钱能买的；想起来，我还真大胆，寄上申请信，哈哈，虽然有点不识相，但还是想跃跃一试，无伤大雅。哈

我们竟然公然声援CL，集体穿上黑衣，在部门经理面前游行，大事张扬我们力撑CL，在lab里高调的拍照，更打印出来让路人甲乙丙丁参阅，我这班同事真合一啊！不知DC是不是给我们给吓坏了，还不把职位交给CL。哈哈，很有趣！


接下来是“原则工程师”之争！让我们拭目以待吧，希望火药程度还不至于造成太大的杀伤力！

还有，08年我们的圣诞趴地，多谢Mel的慷慨和大方，不介意让他的私宅成为我们疯狂和较量Wii的会所！

大姐

这是我最近因着想投稿而写的文章. 不知有没有机会被刊登咧

时间过得真快, 转眼间加入这间财富500之一的企业已经快三年了. 在这儿混的日子很轻松, 大企业的文化让我有说不出的优越和自豪感. 埋怨呢, 是有的,但她给予我的喜乐和自由让我越待越安逸, 愈来愈不太勤奋. 真该打! 呵呵… 难得心血来潮, 就允许我细数我身边这三位’大姐’.

大大姐在公司里的江湖地位可说是无人能及. 从资深的管理层到我们这些小工程师, 甚至是试验室里的测试小弟, 都对她的专业知识和职场EQ赞许有佳. 她为人和蔼, 耐心十足, 不过聪明的她偶尔也会有点糊涂. 呵呵… 她潜移默化的功力就妙在她的一时愚昧也能赢得人心, 老天可真的是很顾念她啊! 回想前年初次与大大姐出差时,她的功力让那高傲的老外对她另眼相看, 态度马上转为友善, 为我的日后的越洋交涉掀开了美丽的一章. 大大姐太棒了!

大姐大是我的团队里的灵魂人物之一. 她在公司的资历也超出十载, 不同的研发领域也促成她的专业知识仅次于大大姐; 不用说, 其他的部门的同事也得要敬她三分, 给足她面子. 我欣赏她的胆识过人, 唯有她比较敢和老板娘唱反调, 毕竟老板娘成天把不关我们事的活儿往身上扛, 真是耐人寻味! 但是, 长期的反叛也不是没有代价的, 擢升为’原则(principle)工程师’的日子也就变得遥遥无期. 哎… 大姐大说她看开了, 现在家庭孩子才是焦点!

团队每季度的Team building都在她的议程里, 从策划到执行, 她比任何人都心急,老板们更指定她为外出首领, 她就是我们这群较年轻家伙的徐大姐也! 她的正义感很强, 骨子里散发出男子的豪爽, 霸气凛然, 我可就不吃她这套, 常常会出口顶撞, 众人中我可算是最不顺她意的. 话虽如此, 我还真要感谢她的大方和’博爱’, 她还是很照顾我的福利, 为了圆我顺便赴美探亲的美梦, 愿意把我的小名加在弗洲研讨会文章的作者名单中. 如此豪迈的人不多是吧!

最近大姐大为我取了个外号叫’大小姐’, 哈哈, 失敬失敬, 小女子加入了他们的行列, 称号中有’大’和’姐’这二字! 毕竟原先的’公主’和现在的’ 大小姐’的称号也没什么不同. 笑死人啦!

末了, 我很感恩有机会在职场上与这三位大姐相遇和切磋.

MY Full Marathon on 7 Dec 08

Guess what?! I finished my first full marathon on 7 Dec. So proud of myself ;)

The timing isn't great, 6:19:56 for 42.195km. manz... I am kinda upset coz i miss the 5.5hrs target. tsk tsk.. try harder next time?! provided I wanna to run and train for it. hehe..

the first 30km basically was wonderful and perfect for me though i did once want to quit and walk. hehe.. then i remember what xb said, DUN WALK and that mrJen said he ran 28km before. I THOUGHT SINCE THEY CAN DO IT, WHY CAN'T ME? so ego... hee... well, i persevered till 30km, estimated time is 4hrs10min. The timing still considired good and I have not run that far without stopping before!!

All was screwed up bcoz of my last 12km run. sigh... basically no more strength to run, although still have stamina. Who told me not to train harder?? duh... What's more the environment is so condusive to WALK, no one runs. You'll be perceived as weirdo if you run. haha...

SLACK ME

This is the regret i have for my first full marathon. Shall I run again? Hmm.. anyway, I've got my FINISHER T-shirt. Yeh yeh yeh!!

Thank God for the safe run :) it is definitely physically and mentally exhausting cum straining!

生日记

觉得很奇怪, 要嘛就没有人为你庆生, 要嘛就有意外的收获.我到底想要什么呢? 是贴心的问候抑或是热热闹闹的庆生活动? 我喜欢成为人的焦点但又觉得有点便扭, 不习惯大伙儿聚集为我高唱生日歌. 真的很谢谢大家. 我其实没什么要求, 谢谢你们记得小女子的诞辰, 没什么可夸的.

有人说: 在生日时收到多少祝福就间接说明了你对他人有多重要.

你认为呢? 哈哈. 难道一切的友情亲情就取决于在这一天,多少人记得你的存在? 很悲哀咧... 不过这个指标也起着一定程度的indication.

记得MON曾经说过,一个SMS算什么?一点诚意都没有.

我又很好奇的问大家, 那Facebook上的祝福又如何? 诚意指数还可以吗? 别人至少还Bother留祝语咧?

我觉得有点悲哀,也许这是时代进步的弊病吧. 至于它的意义, 在此不宜至评.

Being a volunteer

Today is HP Volunteer Day. So a few of us actually joined the event. We visited KDF aka Kidney Dialysis Foundation.

It was a nice introduction to me in the sense that I get to know how kidney failure develops and the kind of dialysis available in the market. Hmm seriously we need to be careful in our diet, habit and always be thankful esp most of us have good health!!

Most of them are elderly, average household income is below 1.5k. Get to talk to some of them, most are quite cheerful. We played 'silly' games there, sing songs and chit chat session. I would say we din do much but this kind of small act definitely bring some smile to their face.

Oh, I was in Bishan team. At first I was a bit concern about how to interact internally and externally. Apparently God opened the door. I get to know more EPS people and ya, missing mr photograph. Hehe.. The way he echo-ed 'Ming Tian Hui Geng Hao' was so amusing. ;p OK, I shouldn't laughed at him but he is a chatty guy. Hope get to see him around more often. haha.. was it a crush? haha.. dunno

My shirt stinks. Eee... I wanna go home and have a change!!!

I am thankful i am healthy, so does my both parents. Thank You LORD. Amen.

My two little precious KYs are now in Edmonton. I wonder how are they right now. Will they miss their Singapore home and loved ones a lot? I need to adjust a bit for this new life.

Actually it was a surprise that none teared on 18th morning except mom. It was a happy and cheerful occassion esp when you see the two little ones, being so excited, running around at T3, hugging their teddy bears with samsonite beetle and penguin school bags.

Wen is also quite creative. We video-ed our words of encouragement during farewell dinner. I guess, we really need to go up north next year since we said we will see them in Canada!! Haha...

Bumble bee is moving on for a better paid position. So... Anyone from WS can be my boss any time from Feb onwards!!! The position is opened for BPD people.

Well, I thought I was pretty cool when I first heard the news. After awhile, just feel that all the previous effort and brainwashing had gone down to the drain. Seriously you cant plan for everything coz there are too many deciding factors.

Whatever it happens, my tomorrow is in God's hand.

Marathon
Sunday sermon "Are You ready?" served as a good reminder to me. I was so ashamed of myself especially when Rev Poh prayed for us during the Holy Communion.

In essence, the prayer said something like seeking forgiveness from God since we or ME, only care and think of myself only. I am concern with what I hope for and what eventually turn out to be. I am not even in the radar of noting when is God's second coming, not to mention I am ready for that.

I feel so ashamed of myself.

We always say we want to live for God. But have you noticed that our prayers is basically a scope down version of our lives. More often than not, we ASK more than we GIVE THANKS. And most of the time, I hardly ask for spiritual advancement and enrichment. Man..shame on me... Something is not right.

Am I always ready and faithfully prepare the oil for God's second coming? just like the 5 wise virgins? This is something which I think I need to do some soul searching!!

Like it or not, this would be a marathon. You know it's a race which you might not know when and where it ends until the day. So persevere and have long-lasting endurance to finish the race. Oops, I am unsure if I am able to complete it but I should pledge to give my best while running. Stay focus, conserve energy, know your calling, it can be a long cum exhausting run. You may not know what to expect, will there be cheerleader along the way who cheer you on or just some strangers who ask you to give up, dun run anymore!!

As a friend, what kind of people you are? Supporter, saboteur or discourager?

Ludo said something to Anna on 'one night stand' & BGR stuffs. This thought kinda resonates with what i have been hearing recently.

You don't really need someone to make you happy and you cant really expect someone else to make you happy esp when you're in a relationship. Coz it is normal for a person to feel unhappy.

Ludo is actually trying to siam some responsibilities... haha...

These few weeks i am a bit siao @ work. Siao about using some imaging processing theory to improve the current technology used at work. Feel so fun though know nuts about it. Fourier Transform, Zero pole.. killing me man!! But fun. Sepnt slightly more time to find out what OLED is, its functions etc.

I truly feel like i am a R&D engr these few days esp. haha... hopefully it wont die off too fast! I shall work harder for interest :) t

想要BLOG一下下, 所以放纵自己一会儿.

最近有点心死, 不是很绝望, 只是稍微觉得不是很积极, 没充满很多希望. 到底发生了什么事情啊? 老实说, 我也不很了解. 心里就是纳闷就对了.

人之间的感情很微妙.

时候到了, 感觉对了, 认真思考一番, 啪, 事就成了. Chey, 哪里有那么容易, 发白日梦是吧,你!

男欢女爱, 再正常不过了. 为身旁女友愿意跨出更大的一步而欣喜, 毕竟是时候填补不短的空白期. 加油加油! 另一女友苦于是否要会见一年前分手的7年男友, 见也不是, 不见又不舍, 感情这玩意儿,这难搞!

男欢女爱, 步入红地毯, 更叫人羡慕. 怎知道最后一分钟的决定竟让人惊吓和心寒. 也许及时踩煞车器总比开车上路时才紧急煞车来了妥当. 当事人的苦, 身旁人不论怎样都很难意会和体会. 我们可以很好奇的问个究竟, 但我们似乎无法改变和影响事件的发展. 那又何必呢?

难道: 结婚真的就能Happlily Ever After? 应该没这么简单．

男欢女爱,有了爱情结晶，恭喜夫人老爷．绝对是好消息．我这人很消极，因为我知道我真的要着手协助处理事物．有点担心，有些害怕．女友说道有时的确要感谢那些单身人士，因为他们是一群随候待命的勇士．

Sometimes I just do not understand. How can people be so selfish and self-centred? Only care for self?? I know we can worry and show concern to a certain extent, but that does not mean that as a world citizen, we care only ourselves and heck care about others!

We discussed about 'legalising organ sales'. A nominal amount will be paid for that. Of course only those who need it will opt to purchase one with $$ since they need it. I am perfectly OK with that. But what about the seller part? Some scumbags will definitely misuse the priviledge and have some unlawful/shameless transactions.

CL just said 'who cares?!' I hate that phrase.

If everyone think like that, where is the sympathy and righteous in the current society? My goodness.

狭窄

有时侯我觉得人很狭窄和自私,原来我真的很像人. 哈.

星期四早上,我在冲凉房犹豫着是否需要为大嫂代祷, 因为她会进行她的考试,可大可小,随时都为成为老年科专才.当时的我太小心眼,觉得我的祷告微不足道,而且干嘛要祷告咧.

瞧, 我竟然消灭圣灵的感动!

上帝果然没有让我得逞, 就在我和楷乐聊天时,大嫂挨近我们,说到:

Yean 啊,你可以为我的考试祷告吗?

我愣住了.真该死, 老早就应该在冲凉房祷告, 上帝没有让我失去这个上好的福份.

就这样, 我们3人在沙发上开声祷告. Auntie 在旁观看.我心想,她应该也和我们一样,在哪儿默默地为大嫂'祈福'

其实大嫂也需要人鼓励和支持, 更尤其是在这些关键的时刻,更显为珍贵.医生又如何,还不是平常人一个.哈

老实说,我觉得她挺聪明的.每次的考试都顺利过关, 当中有上帝的恩典,也不乏她的机智.因为听说常常有人"肥佬", 不是那么容易一次就"爸是"
